What's it going to take to get a geosynchronous ham satellite? In a word, MONEY! Paying for the launch would cost megabucks, well beyond AMSAT's (or even ARRL's) present or foreseeable resources. The days of free launches are long gone, especially to high orbits. w2rs@arrl.net

DXCC Status
A contributor states, "Currently there are only two countries that do not issue Amateur Radio licenses to their citizens, Yemen and North Korea. Thousand of deserving Ham's worldwide who enjoy working DX are shut out of any hope of obtaining the #1 Top of the Honor Roll status due to this. It would seem rational that these two countries (and any others who take a similar position) should be deleted from the official DXCC list in view of this. Why recognize a country on the DXCC list that does not recognize Amateur Radio? What say you?"

This is my station rig is a Kenwood TS 440 connected to a Loop at 40 feet. Helping the Loop out is a SSB 220 that lacks 220 Volts. I am moving shack and will have use of the Amplifier then. For 10 through 20 Meters I have a Mosley TA-33Jr at 45 feet. I enjoy 75 Meters When My loop fell down last Winter I remembered that I could operate 10 through 20 Meters! Funny how I forgot that. Enjoy 17 Meters very much since Talking is more fun for me than working DX.
