W8KQE Backyard DX-ing!

During warmer WX, I enjoy the relaxation of DXing from my patio using emergency power. I run an IC-718 at half power off of a car battery charger, and end fed wire antennas and a GAP vertical on 10-40 meters.

Elecraft K2 station with 100 watt amp and antenna tuner, homebrew power supply and speaker/phone patch in matching Elecraft cases. Antennas are a 4 element tri-band beam at 50 ft and a 5 band vertical. Strictly SSB and digital modes on 40 through 10.
