N0EW -Strange Antenna Challenge!
Over the last few years strange antennas have been constructed from dog kennels, metal folding chairs, chicken wire, pickup trucks, and in this picture, a trucker's loadlock. So far we have contacted stations in 5 continents using no more than 100-watts. This exciting contest is held over the Memorial Weekend each year. Others are invited to participate as Satellite Stations, who have flown their own strange antennas including railroad tracks, semi-truck trailers, and even an entire football stadium. Why not join us next year? Go to http://www.n0ew.org/k0s/ to discover how you can join the fun!

DXCC Status
A contributor states, "Currently there are only two countries that do not issue Amateur Radio licenses to their citizens, Yemen and North Korea. Thousand of deserving Ham's worldwide who enjoy working DX are shut out of any hope of obtaining the #1 Top of the Honor Roll status due to this. It would seem rational that these two countries (and any others who take a similar position) should be deleted from the official DXCC list in view of this. Why recognize a country on the DXCC list that does not recognize Amateur Radio? What say you?"
